b. 1987 NYC, named: JULIA PEARL ROBBINS -

an unconscious assimilation explored throughout the years of her twenties: Honed from within quechua and gurmukhi framings, a dedicated study of their sonic and cognitive influence and in turn the acute optics and related backdrops of shared understanding or approach.

Since age 11, driven by a deep reverence for the earth/environment, the inherent strength of Woman, and sacred wisdoms refracted within the lexicon of mathematics, there’s been an interest in creating visual narratives that speak to heart, awaken consciousness, nurture connection, and catalyze change. the artworks remain in function as a language themselves, thus communicating outside of the limits of word and their binaries.

weaving together the threaded parallels of societal relationships towards both nature and womanhood, and crafting content bridges that call to the harmonious coexistence and recognition of life and their forms. in that, a seeded biographical introduction to the vibrational landscape of collective trauma and their impressions, across cultures + throughout history — the dot/centerpoint of the modeled choreographed theoretics: charting of the directional flow of consciousness within this embodied experience informed through time + space.

this grew out of the challenges inherent within identity, experience and discourse, as well as modes of othering. of lineages Jewish from eastern europe, syrian/lebanese (by way of jamaica), as well as german, as a child and tween, the projected relation of human history on and through individuals was felt and approached as a scientist — with an active Why, how, when, where. later in life, locating the ego in these formations and repertoires was easy, and there, finding solution was met through distinct healing modalities and their frequency codex very much alive within the earth’s cultures 2004-2019. Julia was a student. and in that, a responsibility — a student within a system of traditions that a woman, or an individual mind for that matter, didn’t have exploratory access to at previous chapters in human history. there was isolation, learning, practice, and then in her early thirties, an efforted reintegration into the cultural climate of the U.s.. This wasn't a reach as there was always an established anchor in downtown manhattan both in family and community.

informed by the rhythms of the natural world, the multimedia work and charted soundscape serve as a poignant reminder of our interconnectedness to one another and the planet. Through color frequency and impact, relating texture developed through distinct algorithm codes, and the layered symbolism right through their nomenclature, the work strives to evoke a response that compels viewers to reconsider the relationship of identified framings while honoring in recognition earth aligned consciousness.

the ways in which constructed woman exists within the common technology of social media, and normalized systems of value and function, signifies itself as a leading lady throughout. ailUJ PEARL canvassed works and julery pearl staged works explore our relationship to self through the influence of modern technology.

These articulations extend beyond the stage venue or canvas; they function as a call to action — for what is being systematically painted, filtered, screened, projected, undermined, silenced? through the initiative work of STUDio J/P ROBBINS: PROJECTS, this is taken further with a commitment to engaging with communities and fostering conversations that challenge societal norms and inspire heart insight. By leveraging the power of content creation and agency, there’s an aim to amplify the voices of marginalized wisdoms and their peoples who often bear the brunt of environmental degradation.

coaxialled with an eco-feminist approach, artworks and installation function as an experiential container for exploring, supporting, peeling back, healing, empowering, and approaching ecological harmony and recognition, fostering a future where the Earth and its inhabitants thrive in respected recognition.

this is related to not as idealistic, but as an alignment with what we’ve been encouraged to disconnect from — ourselves.
